Emerson (NYSE: EMR) and Avocent Corporation (NASDAQ: AVCT) today announced they have reached agreement for Emerson to acquire Avocent, a transaction that will further Emerson’s ability to deliver total infrastructure management solutions to its data center customers around the world.
