Global Biotech Corp., a publicly traded green consumer health products development company, recently announced that Wykanta International, Inc., an international nutraceuticals company, is acquiring the exclusive Asian distribution rights for all of Global Biotech’s product line. This agreement includes Global Biotech’s leading oxygenated product “Aquaboost™,” a water product well-positioned to become a leader in the fast-growing oxygenated water consumer market.

Under the terms of the agreement, Wykanta International, Inc. will have the exclusive distribution rights for all Global Biotech’s new and existing products in the Asian market, including China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia and India. The agreement applies to all of GBC’s existing product line as well as any new products that may be introduced in the future. This agreement provides Wykanta with an expanded customer base that it will sell to, in addition to its Adnutrio weight loss line of products.

Ferro Corporation (FOE), the specialty chemical manufacturer, recently announced it was selling its fine chemicals business to Novolyte Technologies LP for $66 million in cash. The company said the proceeds will be used to pay down debt.

The business manufactures electrolytes used to make lithium batteries as well as specialty solvents. Novolyte will absorb the manufacturing employees.

Ferro, a Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy), continues to have strong fundamentals.

On Aug 5, it reported second quarter earnings that beat Wall Street estimates by 31.25%. Sales rose 17% to $650 million from $553.7 million in the year ago period.
