Top High Yielding Green Stocks

Fred Fuld (June 12th, 2008) Writes:
If you are looking for alternative energy oriented 'green' stocks, but you like high yields, you can actually find a combination of both. The following are a group of stocks involved in alternative energy in some way, such as wind power or solar energy or ethanol. They all pay dividends. PG&E Corp. (PCG) This California-based electric and gas utility serves 5 million customers. Their electrical generation comes from natural gas, nuclear, hydro, coal, geothermal, wind, and several other types of renewable sources. The P/E is 15 and the PEG is 1.91. The stock yields 4%. IdaCorp, Inc. (IDA) This holding company owns Idaho Power Company, which is involved in the generation, transmission, distribution, and sale of electric energy primarily in southern Idaho and eastern Oregon. Greenstone Holdings Inc. (GSHN.PK) Introduces Anz Ceramic Coating for Construction Hard-hats

QualityStocks (June 4th, 2008) Writes:

In many markets, the larger companies are often responsible for rolling out new lines of products designed to make markets go. Unfortunately, many of these products are dreamt up by somebody in a lab or behind a desk. Getting into the field to really find out what’s what is all too often neglected. For those companies and investors willing to get down into the mud, there is a profit to be made in places that may have been overlooked.

Greenstone Holdings Inc., a specialty chemicals developer and marketer, works to develop and market construction related coatings, sealants and material specific protective chemical products. The company markets its products through direct sales channels, distributors and partnerships. Its flagship product is called GreenShield which works to protect construction materials from moisture damage.

Currently, the company has a small but growing stable of products. For the most part, each product is designed to increase efficiency

IOSP: Inspecting Wallflower Innospec

William A. Trent (May 8th, 2008) Writes:
My latest column is up at RealMoney as part of my series on wallflowers - stocks that have little or no analyst coverage. In this column I look at Innospec (IOSP), which makes fuel additives and other specialty chemicals that are sold primarily to oil refineries and other chemical and industrial companies. The company operates in three segments: fuel specialties, active chemicals and octane additives. Innospec has a monopoly position in the rapidly declining business of tetraethyl lead additives for gasoline. In the past, declines in that business have overshadowed growth in the remainder of the firm. Now accounting for just 16% of total revenue, I think the lead weight is becoming less burdensome. Innospec scores well in my models: Earnings momentum: Positive Earnings quality: Neutral Price momentum: Positive Free cash flow: Neutral Return potential: Positive Disclosure: At time of publication, William Trent has no position in the companies mentioned in this article.
