Adanac Molybdenum Corp crossed another hurdle in its plan to develop its Ruby Creek molybdenum project in northwestern British Columbia. The company received a Mines Act Permit from the provincial government last week. The permit will allow the company to prepare the mine site, construct and assemble its mill and develop its open pit.
The company has also retained its former president and chief operating officer, Mike McLeod, as a consultant. Mr. McLeod handed over his responsibilities as chief executive officer in March 2008 to David Stone, and he resigned from his remaining positions in early June.

Adanac expects to close its financing late this year. This timeline represents a delay of several months over the initial expectation, but the bridge financing provides the company with sufficient cash to accomplish its key goals for this summer and autumn.
