Accenture, Ltd. (ACN) and Snap-On, Inc. (SNA) are both in the green, as of yesterday's close, since we added them to the Focus List last winter. They couldn't be in more different industries.

Accenture is a powerhouse consulting firm with 180,000 people spread out in over 49 countries around the world. The company provides consulting services to 94 of the Fortune Global 100.

While other companies have faltered in 2008, Accenture recently posted record third-quarter revenues and earnings per share. Revenues rose 20% to $6.10 billion. Earnings per share were a quarterly record of 74 cents per share, beating analysts' estimates by 7.25%. ACN also saw record consulting bookings of $3.98 billion in the quarter.
