New Generation Biofuels, Inc. holds an exclusive license for North America, Central America and the Caribbean to commercialize proprietary technology to manufacture alternative biofuels from plant oils and animal fats. The company then markets these products as a new class of biofuels for power generation, commercial and industrial heating, etc.

The company today announced that it has signed a letter of intent with Ace Biofuels of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Under this letter of intent, Ace Biofuels would license product formulations, manufacturing technology and know-how from New Generation with the intent of constructing a biofuel manufacturing facility and marketing the company’s fuel in Puerto Rico. Ace Biofuels will pay New Generation Biofuels a licensing fee per gallon of biofuel produced and sold.

New Generation Biofuels Holdings, Inc. announced this morning that it has signed a full-year contract to supply Delta Chemical Corporation of Baltimore, Maryland with up to 371,000 gallons per year of renewable biofuel.

New Generation’s biofuel will supply Delta Chemical’s No. 1, Cleaver-Brooks lead boiler. According to the press release, this contract will meet approx. 50% of Delta Chemical’s annual energy consumption requirements. Deliveries will begin in the next two weeks from New Generation’s new Baltimore production facility.

New Generation Biofuels Holdings, Inc. announced yesterday that it has appointed Mr. Cary Claiborne as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Claiborne will also retain his role as Chief Financial Officer and has joined the Board of Directors.

In late 2007, Mr. Claiborne joined New Generation Biofuels as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this role, he had a distinguished career as the Chief Financial Officer of Osiris Therapeutics (NASDAQ: OSIR), as well as in various roles with leading American corporations, including Constellation Energy (NYSE: CEG), Home Depot (NYSE: HD) and General Electric (NYSE: GE).
