Mechel, Russia’s biggest coking coal producer, is seeking approval to acquire indirect control of German metals trader HBL Holding. BP’s Baku-Supsa pipeline, which transports crude from Azerbaijan to Georgia's Black Sea coast, is "undamaged", but closed for security reasons.
