Quarter-End Mark Up/Looking Ahead

I'm not surprised to see the market moving higher this morning. The funds are going to try and get those quarterly returns a couple of percentage points higher. Its easier to do in a market like this with little conviction and light volume. There will likely be a tailwind because of this, but it obviously won't last long. br /br /So while I do believe we could move a bit higher, I still expect some type of correction during the summer months. I've written at length about this, and still feel this is what is likely to happen...br /br /As far as stocks, I'm not chasing anything, but I am actively looking to buy some stocks. What to Expect Ahead/Quarter-End Mark Up

I'm fully expecting the funds to engage in the usual quarter-ending mark up, which means through the end of the month, I wouldn't be surprised if stocks run a bit. It can easily happen, and likely will. To begin with, volume has been relatively light and usually gets that way in the summer. Bottom line is, the funds like to make their numbers look good. Don't get in their way by trying to go short. br /br /I'm still hoping to buy at some better prices, and that will take a little more time.
