RHI Entertainment Earnings/Conference Call

I listened to the RHI Entertainment (a href="http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=RHIE"RHIE/a) conference call replay last night. They are a company affected so much by seasonality in their business that earnings numbers need to be looked at differently. From the surface, a href="http://finance.yahoo.com/news/RHI-Entertainment-Announces-bw-1250969593.html?x=0amp;.v=1"total revenue and library revenue were down /asignificantly, but you have to look deeper. They make money not only on new productions, which include mini-series and made for tv movies, but also selling titles from their library. I made some notes while listening to the call from yesterday. This is paraphrasing from answers mostly from their CEO:br /br /-Lower demand entirely due to seasonality and not lower demand. Its taking longer to get contracts signed, but demand is still there. Lots of new products coming in 2nd half of this year.br /br /-Such a large library that they can meet demand at different price points. ...

(AKAM) announced on June 26, offering of the Web Application Accelerator and IP Application Accelerator to IntraLinks, the leading provider of on-demand critical information exchange solutions. By tapping into Akamai's solution, Intralink will be able to accelerate its business application with Akamai's dynamic content. Additionally, its customers will be able to lower cost, increase productivity as well as speed up processes using its Web Application Accelerator and IP Application Accelerator platform.

According to the Chief Technology Officer of IntraLinks, using Akamai's global network routing and application acceleration services will help reduce the standard network latency over the Internet, helping customers run application within their data center.
