It also has non-exclusive rights to sell the HFI to worldwide after-market segments. The HFI technology is a patented process developed by Canadian Hydrogen Energy Company (CHEC). The on-demand HFI system uses electrical power, either 12V or 110V, to split distilled water to produce hydrogen and oxygen gas. Both gases are then injected directly into the air intake of a normal combustion engine. The hydrogen acts to alter the combustion profile of the traditional fuel so that the chemical energy released is at a greater efficiency level with lower emissions.
