Labor unrest at Ford’s (F) auto supplier plant in India has prompted the company to shut down its Oakville, Ontario, plant for the week, which employs 3,000 workers in two shifts. The closure would cost Ford 5,000 vehicles. The idled employees would get 65% of regular pay from a combination of funding from the company and employment insurance.  The strike at Rico Auto Industries in the state of Haryana in India turned violent after an employee died recently during a protest. It has triggered a shortage of transmission parts to the Canadian plant. Energtek Inc., a leading developer of Adsorbed Natural Gas (ANG) technology, announced today that its subsidiary, Moregastech India Private Ltd., is advancing the provision of natural gas bulk transportation services to industrial consumers in the Bhiwadi industrial area in the Indian state of Haryana using Energtek’s proprietary Low-pressure Mobile Pipeline (LMP) bulk transportation technology.

Marketing activities in the industrial region have started following advances in the approval process for LMP technology by the Indian authorities. Very positive reactions by customers have been reported by the marketing team as they wait to benefit from the supply of natural gas.

The supply requests submitted by industrial consumers will require a fleet of several semitrailers to deliver the appropriate amount of natural gas. Energtek has developed custom semitrailers to cost-efficiently deliver natural gas to consumers that are not connected to pipeline infrastructure.
