Hydrogen Hybrid Technologies, Inc. (HYHY.OB) is “One to Watch”

QualityStocks (July 1st, 2008) Writes:

Hydrogen Hybrid Technologies, Inc. (HYHY) has retained exclusive worldwide rights to sell its Hydrogen Fuel Injection (HFI) technology to original equipment manufacturers (OEM). It also has non-exclusive rights to sell the HFI to worldwide after-market segments. In this era of uncertainty, with the pricing of traditional fuel costs, the HFI technology provides consumers with a viable option.

The HFI technology is a patented process developed by Canadian Hydrogen Energy Company (CHEC). The on-demand HFI system uses electrical power, either 12V or 110V, to split distilled water to produce hydrogen and oxygen gas. Both gases are then injected directly into the air intake of a normal combustion engine. The hydrogen acts to alter the combustion profile of the traditional fuel so that the chemical energy released is at a greater efficiency level with lower emissions. Since the chemical energy translates to increased mechanical energy, the engine is able to lower fuel consumption

How to save money on gas

James Hamilton (June 20th, 2008) Writes:
Environmental Economics and The Energy Collective are among the many voices recently advising consumers they could save gasoline by driving more slowly. I was curious to take a look at the evidence behind such claims. Source: U.S. Dept. of Energy. speed_vs_mpg.gif Air resistance increases the faster you travel, which might lead you to think that higher speeds always require more fuel. However, your car's engine is designed for maximal efficiency in converting fuel into motion when you drive at higher speeds. As a result, the typical car gets much better gas mileage if you drive it at 45 mph instead of 15. However, at speeds above 60 mph, the wind resistance becomes a dominant factor, and miles per gallon for most cars starts to decline significantly if you drive faster than 60. The basis for the graph above and many of ...

CNBC Bonus Bucks Trivia: In Bob Pisani’s blog post, “Global Theme: Inflation Worries” how many nations does he specifically name?

William A. Trent (June 12th, 2008) Writes:

In Bob Pisani’s blog post, “Global Theme: Inflation Worries” how many nations does he specifically name?

In China, a measure of inflation at the factory rose 8.2 percent in May, the highest in nearly four years, thanks to higher raw material costs. Inflation in Asia is a particular concern, because many countries there have very little account surpluses, heavily subsidize their citizens’ fuel consumption, and import much of their food and energy. This includes Korea, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

1) Ford (F) has already said it would be putting off its plan to return to profitability. Now, it’s assembling a plan to rapidly shift entire truck plants in the U.S. to car production, specifically some of the small cars it is producing in Europe, according to The Detroit News.

That’s six by my count.
