Zevotek, Inc. (ZVTK.PK) Offers Innovative Solution

QualityStocks (May 8th, 2009) Writes:

Zevotek, Inc., emerging provider of cost effective and unique consumer products, is offering a truly innovative way to address a hidden problem, a problem that scientific studies are showing is very serious. It’s the problem of indoor air pollution, but Zevotek’s approach has nothing to do with air filters.

The Environmental Protection Agency reports that toxic chemicals found in the air of almost every American home are three times more likely to cause some type of cancer than outdoor air pollutants. In addition, the EPA found that 20%-30% or more of U.S. buildings are considered “sick”. According to a study by Howard Brightman Environmental Health & Engineering, “indoor levels of pollutants may be 2-5 times higher than outside, and occasionally 100 times or higher.”

Since Americans are estimated to spend fully 90% of their time indoors, it’s clear that more is needed than just indoor

Fresh Water: California Drought Reveals the “New Oil”

Investment U (February 6th, 2009) Writes:

Fresh Water: California Drought Reveals the “New Oil” by David Fessler, Advisory Panelist, The Oxford Club

A few weeks ago, during a particularly bad cold snap, we had a pipe freeze underneath our 200-year-old farmhouse, causing us to go without water for a few days. I eventually managed to unfreeze the pipe, but there was no question it was disruptive for a busy household of four.

Here in the United States, we don’t realize how much we take our fresh water supply for granted, until it’s suddenly cut off. We’re used to turning on the faucet and there it is.

But for the folks in California, 2009 is shaping up to be a big fresh water disaster in the making. Last Thursday, state water officials reported that the snow pack in the Sierra Nevada Mountains is only 61% of what is considered normal for this time of year.

Global Oil Demand: Are You Ready for Gasoline Under a Buck a Gallon?

Investment U (December 12th, 2008) Writes:
Global Oil Demand: Are You Ready for Gasoline Under a Buck a Gallon?

by David Fessler, Advisory Panelist, Investment U Friday, December 12, 2008: Issue #900

When I started driving, gasoline still contained lead and regular was selling for 29 cents a gallon. My father remembers 10 cents a gallon.

While it’s highly unlikely we’ll ever see those prices again, you could see gasoline below $1 a gallon, and it just might hit $0.75 a gallon. It might not be in time for Christmas, but the Easter Bunny might leave it in your Easter Basket.

That’s not just wishful thinking on my part: The International Energy Agency’s (IEA) most recent monthly forecast (released just yesterday) indicates year-over-year global oil demand will shrink in 2008 for the first time in the last 25 years.

Why? Developed nations are skidding into recession and emerging nations have hit the brake pedal on economic growth. And when the United

Energy Blast – Nov 6, 2008

Robert Amsterdam (November 6th, 2008) Writes:
Russia and Venezuela begin further energy talks today, as a delegation including Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin arrives in Caracas. Sechin says that Russia will make its own rules on oil production, and Medvedev has proposed conducting oil and gas settlements in rubles. A new power plant in Tajikistan is aimed at alleviating some of the problems caused by energy shortages and harsh winters. Lukoil will finalize a $1.74 billion deal with Italy’s ERG today, sealing Italy’s position as one of Russia’s key energy collaborators. Russia and Kyrgyzstan are working on a series of new energy bills. An arm of India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corporation may join up with Russia’s Sakhalin-3 project. Despite initial environmental objections, Canada may persuade Barack Obama’s government to join oil sands operations in Alberta.

Pledge to Hedge: An Ancient Trick For Cooling Can Save Big Bucks

Keith Fitz-Gerald (September 2nd, 2008) Writes:
This is the sixth installment of an ongoing series] “You’re going about this the wrong way,” said my friend and architect Fredrick Zal. “What you really need is a cold air stack.” I had asked Fred for some easy, cost efficient ways to cool our house. It was a logical step in our family’s ongoing quest to reduce our energy bills by 25% or more while spending as little money as possible and without compromising our lifestyle. To be honest, I had expected Fred to lecture me on how to use my air-conditioner more efficiently. After all, setting the thermostat a little higher and using fans can save 6%-8% on cooling costs for each degree above 78, according to the Department of Energy, And, in an effort to show him that I had done my homework, I was fully prepared to counter his reasoning with my suggestion ...
