Worldwide Energy and Manufacturing USA, Inc.’s management today clarified and reaffirmed guidance for the 2009 fiscal year ending December 31, 2009.

Jimmy Wang, chief executive officer of Worldwide Energy and Manufacturing USA, Inc., stated, “The Company reaffirms guidance previously provided in our November 5, 2009, third-quarter earnings conference call that we expect annual revenues of at least $60 million and an EBITDA of $2.8 million for fiscal year 2009.”

Wang added, “Our solar division expects to ship orders totaling at least 10 megawatts, representing approximately $20 million in revenues, in the fourth quarter of 2009. Additionally, our contract manufacturing division should create at least $3 million in revenues for the quarter. This would bring our total fiscal year 2009 revenues in excess of $60 million. Fiscal year 2009 earnings would come in at about $1.8 million, which results in net earnings per share of $0.50 on a fully diluted basis.

Solar Energy Initiatives, Inc. this morning announced that it has signed a Financing and Joint Marketing Agreement with a Municipal financial services company located in the Western U.S. This agreement mandates that the financial services institution exclusively market Solar Energy Initiatives solar solutions to over 100,000 municipalities.

According to the terms of the agreement, the financial institution will also have the ability to provide project based financing for any contract that it brings to Solar Energy Initiatives. Solar Energy Initiatives receives revenues from the sale of the solar equipment as well as the sale of the generated energy sold to the municipality, recognizing energy sales over a 20–25 year contract period.

After market closed, SINA Corp. (SINA) reported revenues of $96.4 million in the third quarter of 2009. Revenues was down 8.6% year over year but was up 6.8% sequentially. Revenues exceeded the company's guidance of $91.0 – $94.0 million and easily beat the Zacks Consensus estimate of $94.0 million. This reflects strong execution of the company’s online advertising business in China , which grew double-digits sequentially. We expect a huge improvement in SINA’s advertising business, as advertising spending recovers. SINA expects to benefit from government stimulus packages. U.S. retail sales rose unexpectedly in October as vehicle sales rebounded from a deep slump. However, non-auto sales rose less than forecast, suggesting consumers remain cautious as unemployment surges amid a “jobless recovery.”

Sales at the nation’s retail outlets increased 1.4%, the Commerce Department said today (Monday), much better than the 0.9% increase projected by the median estimate of 66 economists in a Bloomberg News survey. But September sales were revised downwards to a 2.3% decrease from the previous estimate of a 1.5% decline.

Aside from automobiles, other sales rose just 0.2%. That increase marked the third month in a row that sales rose, but failed to meet the 0.4% climb economists had predicted.
