Dr. Karl Hermann created the original linear power transmission design concept during World War II. It was subsequently used by the US Navy as a pneumatic drive in the mk 46 torpedos. In 2004, Axial Vector Engine acquired the rights to Dr. Hermann’s intellectual property and all engine prototypes.
