Massetti will take up a new assignment with telecommunications major Avaya Inc. Robert Fishman, corporate controller, will take the responsibility as interim CFO until NCR finds a replacement for the CFO position. During May 2007 to January 2008, Fishman had been interim CFO at NCR and joined the company way back in 1993. He looked after the finance function of the company at various positions. The leading bank of India also signed a seven year service contract with the company.   The bank is already using 10,000 NCR ATMs and this repeat order reinforces the fact that SBI is satisfied with the quality and service of NCR. The Greeks, Port of Call #1, Delta – Corporate Summary

Zacks Market Commentaries (September 24th, 2009) Writes:
Today we are going to venture into foreign lands, unknown and esoteric places that most of us are only faintly familiar with. Let's take a trip to the Greeks! Greece, that little group of islands in the Mediterranean, has provided the world with some pretty impressive things: mythology, the Olympics, famous thinkers, groovy architecture...and a funky alphabet full of symbols that are applied in various ways around the globe. A handful of these symbols have come to be known in the Options world simply as "The Greeks".

< ?DART(15);?> Delta, Gamma, Vega (which is technically not one of the Greek symbols, but is an old car...go figure?), Theta and Rho are the representations of various aspects of option pricing that we call the Greeks. Each one addresses a particular variable in the movement of an option premium. We will walk thru Delta, the most popular of the

Consorteum Holdings, Inc. (CSRH.OB) Knows Plastic

QualityStocks (September 3rd, 2009) Writes:

Consorteum Holdings Inc. owes much of its success to plastic. Not the plastics industry, but to plastic cards, like the ones that every American seems to carry twenty of whenever they go to the store. If you could use a time machine to bring someone from the 1950s to the present, one of the first things they would notice is the almost total replacement of cash and checks with plastic cards. Cards are easier to use, less messy, quicker, and generally more efficient for everyone involved, including the consumer, the merchant, and the bank.

Banks, of course, have a special love for debit cards, which have exploded in use, and now exceed credit card purchases. Banks like them because they can get a fee from merchants whenever they are used. As a result, there are now countless bank-sponsored rewards programs enticing

Jobs Report Worse than Expected – Analyst Blog

Dirk Van Dijk (September 2nd, 2009) Writes:
This morning, ADP (ADP), the nation’s largest payroll processing firm, released its estimate of job losses in August. They came in at a decline of 298,000 jobs for the private sector. This is significantly worse than the consensus expectations of a decline of 250,000. There was a little bit of good news in the report in that this is still an improvement over the 360,000 lost in July -- a number that was revised from an original read of 371,000 jobs lost. The losses in August were almost evenly split between the Goods Producing Sector (Construction & Manufacturing), which lost 152,000 jobs, and the Service sector, which dropped 146,000. By size of business, the big firms are holding up best with a decline of 60,000. Medium-sized firms (between 50 and 499 employees) shed 116,000 jobs while small businesses slashed their payrolls by 122,000. Even the Auto industry, ...
