Axial Vector Energy Corporation announced this morning that Mr. Samuel Higgins has been appointed to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors, filling a vacancy resultant from the departure of Mr. Ahmed Khalifa. As previously stated in AVEC’s SEC Form 8K on June 23, 2009, Mr. Khalifa resigned when Global Operations purchased all of the shares held by Mr. Khalifa’s firm, Emirates International Capital Advisory. However, the press release noted that Mr. Khalifa remains a private shareholder of AVEC.

Regarding the appointment, AVEC President and CEO Sanjai Chhaunker commented, “We are extraordinarily pleased to have persuaded Mr. Higgins to return from retirement. Sam is the firm’s founder, one of the largest shareholders and former CEO. Premier Group, with headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia signed the exclusive license agreement covering Malaysia, Indonesia and parts of Southeast Asia. The company agreed to produce a minimum of 5,000 workhorse engines to be configured for palm oil use only. The agreement calls for a non-refundable fee of $500,000 dollars as well as a durability pilot site for 5,000 hours. Axial Vector Energy Corp. (AXVC.PK) JV’s Recently Announced Russian Patent for Oil Technology

In May, Axial Vector Energy Corp. announced that its PETRO AVEC Joint Venture partner, Petrosonics LLC, recently received a Russian patent protecting the purification process that removes sulfur and nitrogen compounds from diesel oil, FCC cycle oil, FCC slurry oil, light/heavy gas oil and coker gas oil fractions. The patent will remain in effect for 20 years with the possibility of an additional five-year extension.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, Russia has 41 oil refineries with a total crude oil processing capacity of 5.4 million bbl/d, and produces significant amounts of heavy fuel oil, middle distillates, and gasoline. Roughly 20.5% of Russia’s total diesel output is exported. However, their refineries need to modernize in order to meet Europe’s growing demand for low sulfur fuels.
