The Marcus Corporation (MCS), based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and founded in 1935, provides lodging and entertainment services. Marcus Theatres® is the seventh largest theatre circuit in the U.S., managing 678 movie screens at 56 locations in Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, North Dakota, Iowa and Nebraska. Marcus Hotels and Resorts owns and manages a portfolio that consists of eight company-owned properties in Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri and Oklahoma; and twelve managed properties scattered throughout the West coast and the Midwest.
The company announced recently the acquisition of approximately 11 acres of vacant land in the Southport West development in La Vista, Nebraska. The land is part of a mixed-use, commercial development located in a growing suburb of Omaha.
