MediFile International Inc. (MDFI.OB) has developed a proprietary system for gathering and digitizing medical records so that members can have access to a comprehensive set of their medical records. The company’s primary product is the MedeFile system.

The MedeFile system gathers and stores copies of a member’s medical records from wherever they may be, including hospitals, doctor’s offices, or outpatient facilities. The MedeFile system consolidates these records into an easily accessible digital format. This medical data is available to members and their authorized healthcare providers seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

A member’s MedeFile contains information about the member’s physicians, insurance, medications, medical conditions, and more. It also contains all of the records sent by healthcare providers which may prove invaluable since many healthcare providers dispose of patient records after 5 to 7 years. A member may also store copies of other important documents. Such documents could include: living wills, durable power of attorneys, organ donor cards, and other vital papers.
