Today I have two smart plays for the short-term:

Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies

(Public, NASDAQ:QTWW)

Today the market is flourishing, rising high and the prices seem way over inflated. However, amongst these green giants I see potential in QTWW which has fallen by over 10% today. Based on favourable charts, this is a good buy today for a nice 10 to 15% gain within the next few days.

About QTWW: Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. (Quantum) is a fully integrated alternative energy company, and a player in the development and production of propulsion systems, energy storage technologies, and alternative fuel vehicles. The Company’s portfolio of technologies include electronic controls, hybrid electric drive systems, hydrogen storage and metering systems, and alternative fuel technologies that enable fuel efficient, low emission hybrid, plug-in electric hybrid, fuel cell and alternative fuel vehicles.

Secondly comes an Exchange Traded Fund.

FAZ Direxion Daily Finan. Bear 3X Shs(ETF)

(Public, NYSE:FAZ)

I believe most of the banks that have been rallying for the past month are going to fall after the government releases the bank stress test results on Thursday.

This phony test will try and mislead investors into believing the banks are stronger than expected, but I believe most people know this and it is all factored into the price of these stocks already.

I like FAZ here at $6.41, which is an ETF that is triple short the bank stocks.
