Continental Airlines‘ (CAL) share price is down more than 1.5% today on unusually low volume of 4 million, against the daily average of 7 million.
Continental posted a first-quarter loss of $1.07 per share, excluding items, earlier this week, which was in line with the consensus. Revenue fell 17% from last year to $3 billion.
Six of the ten covering brokerage analysts pulled back on expectations in the last month, bringing the current-year forecast down to $2.33 per share from $3.10.
Next-year’s estimate dropped to $4.01 from $4.46 per share over the same period.
