Composite Technology Corporation (OTCBB: CPTC.OB) is a global provider of electric utility solutions that feature their breakthrough composite technologies. The company is an established leader in composite technology, focused on designing, manufacturing, and marketing a long line of diversified products that help meet many of the challenges and solve the numerous problems within the power industry today. Their products range from composite core utility cables to a wider range of composite structures for the utility, municipality and industrial markets.

To address the most pressing challenges that companies are faced with today in the electrical and power industries, CTC has created a three-phase solution. Their focus is on providing products that perform superbly with low cost and positive environmental impact in the implementation phase. All their solutions have been carefully designed for installation using conventional techniques and equipment. Dead-ends, splices, shoes and other components are manufactured by FCI/Burndy to CTC specifications.

The company’s core and foundational product is their revolutionary ACCC (Aluminum Conductor Composite Core) cable. ACCC doubles the current carrying capacity and is installed easily by going through already existing pathways. Other benefits of the ACCC cable include; the elimination of problematic high-temperature sag, reduction of construction costs by using fewer support structures, will not rust, corrode, or cause electrolysis with aluminum conductors or components, and produces a higher operating efficiency that helps decrease power generation costs and meet emission standards.

The other two products the company offers are lattice towers and wind turbine systems. The lattice towers are currently under development as these composite-based structures do not attract lightening, are not affected by rain or air pollution, and can be delivered in multiple color configurations. The company’s innovative wind turbine systems can be installed without the use of large, expensive cranes and are easily erected from a single platform.

Composites have become an accepted technology that is utilized in a wide range of applications within the aerospace, energy, industrial, and transportations markets, which have an impact on consumer’s lives every day. Although these applications demand high-strength, the result is a cost-effective solution that enhances product safety and reliability. CTC is committed to providing the most advanced technology to multiple marketplaces as their manufacturing techniques harness the benefits of composites. They have established strategic relationships with existing cable manufacturers in order to grow and rapidly expand so that they can better assist utilities and governments in achieving immediate improvements in power grid capacity and reliability worldwide.
