Apple Inc. (AAPL) said this morning that its shareholders would now have more say on the subject of executive compensation after its February meeting approved a proposal to that effect.
Cupertino, California-based Apple filed an amendment with the Securities and Exchange Commission to correct a form it had previously submitted after initial counting concluding that the motion had been defeated. On Monday, Apple said the confusion arose from a “human error” and that the “Say on Pay” resolution through advisory voting was approved by 51.63% of shares.
Apple shares gained 65 cents to $124.51 at midday on the NASDAQ.
