America’s Car-Mart, Inc. – Momentum – Zacks Rank Buy

America’s Car-Mart, Inc. (CRMT) recently surged higher and is pressuring its 52-week and all-time high just above $21, a respectable gain since originally being featured as a momentum stock on July 9 trading at less than $20 a share.

The recent price strength comes in response to the company’s impressive first-quarter results, reported on Sep 3. Revenue was up 29% from the same period last year to $75.7 million. Net income totaled $5.3 million, more than double last year’s $2.1 million. This produced earnings of 45 cents per share, ahead of analyst estimates of 38 cents per share.

Analyst are bullish on this Zacks #1 rank stock, with the next-year estimate jumping to $1.70 per share from $1.67 per share 7 days ago.
