The company, along with Lenovo, today announced a co-marketing agreement in which Lenovo will offer Napster’s music subscription service on its notebook and desktop PCs in the United States and Canada.

Lenovo is focused on creating the world’s best-engineered personal computer. The agreement with Napster will allow the company to offer its customers instant access to millions of music tracks with a free, 14-day trial subscription of Napster To Go, as well as unlimited, on-demand access to Napster’s music catalog of more than 6 million songs.

For Napster, the deal highlights the company’s market reach and strength in the music industry.
“Napster’s partnership with Lenovo, a global leader in the PC market, demonstrates the power of our brand and the demand for the value we offer to music lovers,” Napster CEO Chris Gorog stated in the press release. “We’re excited to give buyers of the latest Lenovo computers access to Napster’s extensive catalog and features. And with Napster’s new MP3 store, we are proud to provide not only the best listening and discovery experience, but also the best buying experience available.”

Napster’s unique musical features make it an obvious attraction to Lenovo. Napster offers interactive, advertisement-free radio stations, thousands of playlists created by music-industry professionals, as well as a variety of community features. All available from a PC, Napster To Go allows users to transfer unlimited music tracks to any compatible MP3 player or music enabled cell phone without paying per track.
