JMAR Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: JMAR) is seeking another entry point into the strong market for water quality monitoring services. The company stated today that it will showcase its new BioAlert™ service at the World WaterPark Association Trade Show in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 28-29. The show is the largest of its kind in the world and provides a forum for the demonstration of new products and services for the industry.
Upwards of 360 million Americans enjoy water parks each year. With that kind of demand for water recreation, the risk of disease is significant, making recreational water quality a paramount concern for water park operators. Park operators need the ability to accurately monitor water quality and quickly discover any problems. JMAR views its BioAlert™ service as a crucial link in the water quality monitoring chain.
“The BioAlert™ monitoring service provides added protection for the guests and the water park owners,” said JMAR’s Chief Executive Officer C. Neil Beer, Ph.D. “This new service, based on our BioSentry technology, fills a critical gap in water quality protection by providing continuous water monitoring with the ability to provide immediate notification of a contamination occurrence.”
JMAR Technologies, Inc. develops and markets sensor systems to detect chemical, biological, and other environmental threats. Its products are designed for commercial, industrial, and military end-users. BioAlert™ will marketed to water park operators on a subscription basis. Operators will be able to choose from a range of services from basic monitoring to continuous system surveillance combined with rapid warning concerning suspected contamination based on the particular needs of a facility.
