Driver Passport, Inc. (DPSS.OB) announced that it has entered into a Letter of Intent to acquire the patent for the proprietary Inca Block Construction System™ (IBCS). IBCS is a revolutionary pre-fabricated building kit, containing all the necessary building modules for the efficient construction of inexpensive buildings. IBCS provides a unique solution to the increasing global need for efficient, low-cost housing in underdeveloped countries, as well as for emergency housing in all countries.

The IBCS system uses inexpensive interlocking concrete blocks, pre-fitted with electrical and plumbing outlets, window molding and sills, and even roofing structures. The blocks are pre-faced, and are easily laid and interlocked, greatly reducing skilled labor requirements. The Inca blocks require no mortar, relying instead upon a self-aligning tongue and groove design. Structural strength is achieved by incorporating rebar and concrete within the cells of the blocks. The blocks themselves can be made from concrete, adobe, or other materials.

The IBCS system reduces costs and slashes construction time by over 90%. Founder of Driver Passport, and inventor of the Inca Block Construction System, Dr. Daniel D. Correa, commented, “I am very excited that we have put ourselves in a position to launch our global expansion plans for the Inca Block System. We have tested the waters and have seen tremendous interest from many different countries. Our initial focus will be on under developed countries with emerging government sponsored housing programs that will support the rapid rollout of low-cost housing developments”.

The worldwide demand for low- and medium-cost housing is vast and growing – a need that conventional construction has been unable to meet. The United Nations estimates 1.6 billion people currently live in substandard housing, while 100 million are homeless.
