Brite-Strike Tactical Illumination Products, Inc. (Pink Sheets: BSTI), the pioneering designer and manufacturer of world-class tactical LED (light-emitting diode) flashlights and personal protection systems for law enforcement personnel, the military, and private citizens, today announced the US Coast Guard, DEA, SWAT Teams and agencies of Germany have committed to using the Tactical Balls, a tactical illumination product designed strictly for law enforcement officials.

Coming on the heels of the company’s hugely successful flagship tactical flashlight product, the Tactical Balls are a rolling illumination, distraction, and disorientation device whose strobe-like effect momentarily captures and diverts an enemy’s or assailant’s attention, thereby providing law-enforcement personnel with critical extra seconds to advance, draw a weapon, or otherwise subdue an individual.

The 1-1/2-inch diameter balls, which contain two white LEDs each (>13,000 MCD) and come with two CR2032 batteries for each light, are equipped with a push-button switch and designed so, when tossed into a room or other area, they come to a rolling stop with the light facing upward. Their durability during use and light-runtime of up to 20 hours mean law enforcement personnel can rely on the Tactical Balls not just once but time and again.

“Sometimes, seconds mark the difference between subduing a dangerous individual and being caught at a tactical disadvantage,” said Brite-Strike President Glenn Bushee, a police officer himself. “The light and movement of the tactical balls automatically draw a person’s attention, buying seconds of time that give law enforcement officers an advantage that literally can determine the outcome of any confrontation or standoff. Many agencies have banned the use of the highly incendiary flash-bangs, and there are times they are just not safe to use, such as an entry to a Meth Lab or on a gas powered vessel.”

The Tactical Balls have already found a ready market, and Brite-Strike is currently selling the devices to the United States Coast Guard, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), local SWAT teams, and law enforcement personnel throughout parts of Germany. Additionally, due to the product’s affordability – a 3-pack of Tactical Balls can be purchased for $40 – law enforcement agencies are finding the Tactical Balls to be a low-cost training tool.

“Our goal is to put the absolute best, most technologically advanced, and most effective equipment into the hands of law enforcement personnel,” Bushee stated. “Any time we can equip officers or agents with a tool that will both keep them safe and help them accomplish their mission, we have succeeded.”

The Tactical Balls package contains three balls, six batteries, and a tactical deployment pouch.
