Stimulus set to pass senate vote after negotiations, but Tuesday’s action shows what the market thinks of any stimulus.

Trying to save “zombie” companies did not work for the Japanese in the 90s and it will not work for the United States.  The stock market clearly told us the story Tuesday when the Senate passed their own version of this so called “stimulus” bill.  Price and volume has spoken true, it is clear that the market can not sustain any upward move without the support of volume.

Gold, silver, and platinum remain the place to be.  The rate at which the dollar is being “created” or printed is astounding.   Stocks continue to remain very risky on the long side as nasty reversals can take place.  Cash is king!

About Market Speculator (http://market-speculator.com)
Market Speculator began his market career shortly before 9/11/01. The methodology he uses comes from the greatest stock market traders of all time; Livermore, Darvas, O’Neil, Dryfus, etc. Decision making is based on price and volume while stock screening is done by growth in fundamentals. Much like William O’Neil’s CAN SLIM approach to investing Market Speculator focuses on a narrow amount of stocks and lives by cutting his losses early.
