How’s that for a headline, both statements valid.  Besides the huge short interest in Sears Holdings (NYSE:SHLD) shares, there’s an exclusive LL Cool J “collection of casualwear for juniors, young men’s, girls and boys” coming right in time for back to school.  Going back to Cali?  Going back to School?  I don’t think so.

The collection retails from $22 for a graphic tee to $50 for a pair of jeans, expect embroidered tattoo on the back of a jacket to song lyrics printed on a T-shirt. The ad campaign will feature LL Cool J along with his family, the idea is “to bring the brand to the whole family”.  Barf.

Believe me, we know what you thinking. Some dudes just don’t know when to stop, but wave some money around and have at it.

Sears has recruited photographer Mark Seliger to provide the images for the autumn ad campaign promoting its LL Cool J clothing range.

The black-and-white images feature the rapper, along with his family, to mark the launch of his men’s, juniors’ and children’s collection, which will be in 450 Sears stores from 7 September.  I know, we can’t wait for the photos either, they should be fun for the whole family, mamma said knock you out and such.

The campaign will appear in the October issues of Cosmopolitan, Cosmogirl!, Seventeen, Spin and Vibe, as well as featuring on Sears’ in-store signage.

However, never put it past Eddie Lampert to pull a fast one on the powers that be.  The more that’s stacked against him you can’t help but wonder how he’ll turn it around, or will he?

Fellow Masters, betting against Lampert can be dangerous, SHLD shares have bounced back since falling below $70 in July.  Recently shares have been pulling back after moving above $90, now trading around $85.
