Russia today will begin a ban on poultry imports from 19 US producers, and has warned that further suppliers could face bans. The Russian market has been the biggest for US poultry exporters. Russian steel companies will cut prices for car manufacturers by a minimum of 5%. The MICEX is reportedly starting slowly to recover from the slump caused by conflict in Georgia. Investors wary of Russia and other BRIC countries may be turning to the Middle East.
