Click on the image above for a full-screen view of my Animal Care ETF proposal which screens for companies worldwide which are leveraged to this niche industry. The global market for animal health (including drugs and diagnostics) is expected to grow to just under $20 billion in 2008, representing 26% growth from just under $15 billion in 2003. Dominant companies in the industry include big pharma companies such as Pfizer (PFE) and Novartis (NVS), which were excluded from this index since they are not leveraged to animal care as it only represents a small portion of their overall business.
