Over the past week I have focused on increased levels of insider selling, and how this could be a signal the market is overbought. You can view those posts here:br /br /a href=”http://briskycapital.blogspot.com/2009/05/restaurant-insiders-selling-more-stock.html”Restaurant Insiders Selling More Stock/a.br /a href=”http://briskycapital.blogspot.com/2009/04/insider-selling-quite-strong.html”Insider Selling Quite Strong/a.br /br /This morning I saw some data regarding the number of stocks above their 40-day moving average. These figures are hitting historical highs. Take a look at a href=”http://quantifiableedges.blogspot.com/2009/05/breadth-measures-hitting-historical.html”this link for the analysis/a.br /br /a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_VQGtBvsQTCg/SgBLSQD3tlI/AAAAAAAAApI/Q9ZS5dnpOJM/s1600-h/5-5.png”img style=”margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 215px;” src=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_VQGtBvsQTCg/SgBLSQD3tlI/AAAAAAAAApI/Q9ZS5dnpOJM/s400/5-5.png” alt=”" id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332344735727597138″ border=”0″ //abr /I understand its also important not to get too bearish, as the market can remain irrational for a lot longer than most expect. But its also important to keep an eye open on what’s out there.div class=”blogger-post-footer”img width=’1′ height=’1′ src=’http://res1.blogblog.com/tracker/819581243324579563-1662837990471048942?l=briskycapital.blogspot.com’//div

About Michael E. Brisky (http://briskycapital.blogspot.com)
Welcome to "In the Know." Here I discuss macro trends in the market, and how I think investors can profit from them. I particularly follow energy stocks and other beneficiaries of secular growth.

My investing style would best be described as a hybrid. A hybrid of value and growth; of fundamental and technical analysis. I think you have to be flexible to be a successful investor, but also disciplined.
