Beijing Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart is slowly growing its presence in China but is just a speck in its overall revenues.
Conveniently for me, there was a Wal-Mart just a few blocks from my hotel so I stopped in to check it out. What did I see?
The products are very, very localized to Beijing tastes. Live turtles, live fish, live snakes, insects…you name it….was there.
The store was packed with customers. My impression is that Chinese Wal-Marts are every bit as busy as U.S. Wal-Marts.
