The Chinese economy is still humming. Here’s proof.
Don’t tell Chinese exporters that we’re in a global slowdown. Chinese exports increased by 21.9% in the first six months of 2008.
Retail sales in July increased by 15.4% compared to the same period last year. That’s the biggest monthly increase in the last 10 years.
Investments in fixed assets grew by 26.3% in the first six months of the year, ahead of the 25.9% last year.
