IBM opened its first research center in Beijing in 1995 but it understands the long-term global importance of China to its future. That is why it is opening a second research center, this time in Shanghai, in China.
“The
establishment of IBM Research in Shanghai reflects both the rich pool
of science and engineering talent in China as well as our continued
commitment to expand our collaboration with Chinese enterprises and
academic institutions.”
