The Giant Stealth Bear Market

In my May 13 post, I said that U.S. stocks have been in a Giant Stealth Bear market since the year 2000, losing more than 75% of their value in real terms! How can that be you ask since the DJIA is trading roughly 1,000 points shy of its record high? Where are the US stock indexes headed? With all the terrible news on the U.S. economy, why hasn’t Wall Street crashed in one giant bear market? Could it be that rather than falling out of bed, stocks are actually entering a new bull market? If you’ve been asking yourself questions like these, you’re not alone.
