1. Imation

a. leading supplier of removable data-storage- part of 3M before spin-off

b. Redeploying cash to consumer businesses with high growth potential

c. Acquired Memorex , Memcorp, and TDK’s recording media business

d. $100+ million of cash on balance sheet

2. Vail Resorts

a. leading ski-resort company with marquee properties in Vail, Beaver Creek, and Breckenridge

b. demographics are top 2% of earners in country

3. Brookfield Asset Management

a. Top level CEO

b. strong capital allocation model and value creation

c. focused on property management, power, infrastructure, and money management

d. assets grown to $95 billion in three years and 30% return on equity
