StraightStocks.com – A Guided Tour
Posted on Monday, July 2nd, 2007 | In Current Market NewsStraightStocks is really easy to use; yet I felt it was appropriate to kick off its launch with a quick tour of all the features of the site. Basically, it’s divided into 2 main areas:
News/Articles
The first main area of the site is our news and article section. It is contained in all of the tabs labeled Today-More. The truly amazing thing is, we have bloggers, investors and writers from around the globe contributing stock market articles in the following categories: Current News, Hot Stocks, Investing Lessons, Non-Equities and Foreign Markets.
Research
StraightStocks has one of the world’s premier stock market research portals. This area can be accessed through the “Get Quotes” search box at the top or through the gold “Research” tab. Included are over 16 up-to-the minute market research tools – everything from local bank rates to market sectors to interactive stock charts, it’s truly amazing, and should be a great assistant in your stock research.
The bottom line is, StraightStocks is created for you, and should be an amazing addition to your stock resources that help you invest smarter and dissect the often complicated world of stocks, as our logo says, we’re Setting the Stock Market Straight!
Enjoy the site, and if you have any questions or feedback we’d love to hear from you! Feel free to email us from our Contact Page.

A long time investor himself, Jim set out to build a truly global resource for investors. His philosophy reflects the belief that, to be a successful investor, one must start by recognizing that Wall Street no longer represents the typical investor's interests. Successful investors must identify hidden investment opportunities in foreign stock markets. That means going beyond traditional tools like ADR's and emerging market funds to find truly spectacular investing opportunities for the long run.
StraightStocks.com makes it a point to locate content contributors who are experts at identifying and analyzing hidden foreign markets and investment sectors.
Jim has served in a variety of sales and marketing management positions over the last 25+ years with such Fortune 500 firms as Texas Instruments, NCR, AT&T, and more recently as Marketing/Alliance manager with a financial services firm specializing in tax compliance.
Jim is currently an independent online publisher. In addition to StraightStocks.com, he owns a number of authoritative website properties.
Educated at the University of Virginia (BA) and the University of Tennessee (MBA), Jim and his family now reside in Atlanta, Georgia.

Nicely written article , the effects are alredy playing out here in India with al;l Steel players with their own captive mines shooting up…Those who have to buy their ore on spots will get squeezed while those on long term contracts will get it at 25- 30 % more . India sells 70 million tons of iron ore to China alone and mostly on spot… lets see how long the party lasts after all there are huge capacity additions on the ore supply side too ….but the sea borne trade is so cartellised and Chinese appetite is phenomenal…..
Thank you for the well written articel…what a bull run for commodity guys .

Trader Mark
Yingli may have RandD research partners in their midst, They use reference to the “vertical integration” business model like a weapon………intriging company with a long term upside (potentially). What do you see as their Q3 Report approaches?

Be careful of that 2.9% number. It’s another spin tactic being published by the NAR. Housing sales numbers are supposed to be measured compared to the same month of the previous year not the previous month.
Here’s another article talking about the misuse of the numbers:
