So you want to submit your articles to help investors? If so, you’ve come to the right place!

Why Contribute?

There are several distinct advantages to contributing articles to StraightStocks:

Get Noticed – If you’d like to build a stronger reputation for yourself, your company or your website/blog, then StraightStocks is the perfect resource to do that.

Your Own Profile Page - You get a unique author profile page displaying your picture, your biography (or information about your site), a link to your website/blog, a list of recent articles you’ve submitted, and a list of all the articles you’ve submitted. Your profile page is linked from every article you submit. See the sample author profile page below:

Links on all your Article Pages – On every article you submit, you will have backlinks to your site, your picture, your biography (or information about your site), a link to your website/blog, a list of recent articles you’ve submitted, and a list of all the articles you’ve submitted. See the sample article page below:

Homepage Publicity – When you submit an article, it will also appear on the homepage and category pages of the site. (like most home pages, ours is highly ranked which clearly benefits you in terms of backlink power).

Earn Money – It’s your content and you deserve to be compensated for it. That’s what StraightStocks thinks (unlike some of the other guys) and we’re now sharing 40% of Google AdSense revenue for each page that the contributor submits. Note: StraightStocks does not pay contributors directly — contributors must have a Google Adsense account and check that account to determine the amount of revenue, if any, they have earned as a result of Adsense clicks from their aricle pages on StraightStocks.com

StraightStocks Authorized Contributor Seal - The Credibility Icon

On acceptance as a content contributor to StraightStocks.com, a contributor is authorized to display the StraightStocks Authorized Contributor Seal on his/her own website/blog. A StraightStocks Contributor Seal differentiates high quality financial content from content poured out by thousands of run-of-the-mill, and often mass-produced blogs.

StraightStocks Authorized Contributor Seal

As of July, 2008 over 60 content contributors have been accepted by StraightStocks.com editors and we are continually looking for more high value article content, especially content that directly matches our expanding focus on foreign (non-U.S.) markets. While potential contributors can submit articles directly to StraightStocks via our online form, only those contributors that have agreed to our full compliance standards will be authorized with a StraightStocks Authorized Contributor Seal for inclusion on their website.

How it Works:

Ready to get started? We’ve made the process as simple as possible. There are two kinds of contributors, those that would like to submit an ad hoc article and those that would like to contribute regularly.

One Time Contribution
If you’re looking to just submit one article on an ad hoc basis, use the contact form below to submit your article. Be sure to include your name, website, brief bio, and the article itself, of course. We will then handle all editing, categorizing and posting of the article and will respond with a link where you can see your live article. Important: if you have any positions with any stocks you’re talking about, it must be disclosed. And if you don’t own any of the stocks under discussion, please disclose that as well. Just make sure there’s a line at the bottom that says something to the effect of: This Author does not have any positions with QQQQ, or This Author has a long position in QQQQ, for example.

Regular Contributor

Note: Changes Effective August 12, 2008

Only StaightStocks Authorized Content Contributors may contribute articles on a regular basis. See Authorized Content Contributor Guidelines (below)

Authorized Content Contributor Guidelines:

1. Original articles ONLY. No reprints from other sites or blogs. Dozens of content contributors have been accepted to provide articles for StraightStocks.com. Many are independent financial bloggers, and ALL bring a unique perspective to their material, whether it be expertise on a particular foreign market (e.g. Israel) or expertise on a specific market sector (e.g. precious metals or agriculture).

The Guiding Principle: We want articles that are relevant and valuable for our readership — pure and simple. Be sure to read about our site focus before applying as an Authorized Content Contributor.

2. If you have a blog or website and would like to make regular article contributions to StraightStocks, we make it very easy to do. You must have a) an RSS feed associated with your website/blog and b) it must be a FULL article feed (no excerpt-only feeds).

3. Policy on Author Pseudonyms: StraightStocks.com permits its Authorized Content Contributors to remain anonymous (use a pseudonym) on their blog posts. However, the management of StraightStocks must have a record on file of the author’s real name and email address prior to publishing any post on behalf of the author. In addition, StraightStocks holds its anonymous content contributors to the same authorship standards as content contributors who write under their own name.

When an author uses a pseudonym, this will be stated on the author’s biography (within the bio box) that is included with each and every post by an Authorized Content Contributor.

Please use the form below to contact us, we’ll get back to you with everything you need to post on a regular basis.

About Jim Musselwhite (http://www.straightstocks.com)
Jim Musselwhite is the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of StraightStocks.com

A long time investor himself, Jim set out to build a truly global resource for investors. His philosophy reflects the belief that, to be a successful investor, one must start by recognizing that Wall Street no longer represents the typical investor's interests. Successful investors must identify hidden investment opportunities in foreign stock markets. That means going beyond traditional tools like ADR's and emerging market funds to find truly spectacular investing opportunities for the long run. StraightStocks.com makes it a point to locate content contributors who are experts at identifying and analyzing hidden foreign markets and investment sectors.

Jim has served in a variety of sales and marketing management positions over the last 25+ years with such Fortune 500 firms as Texas Instruments, NCR, AT&T, and more recently as Marketing/Alliance manager with a financial services firm specializing in tax compliance.

Jim is currently an independent online publisher. In addition to StraightStocks.com, he owns a number of authoritative website properties.

Educated at the University of Virginia (BA) and the University of Tennessee (MBA), Jim and his family now reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
